UPRTOU Admission 2026-27: Kanpur Open University will start the admission process for the academic session January 2026-27. Students can enroll in a variety of UG, PG, and Diploma courses, including a BEd in the academic session. UPRTOU admission 2026 last date to apply will be 28 February 2026. Uttar Pradesh Rajarshi Tandon Open University is a public state university in Allahabad. It was founded in 1998 by the Uttar Pradesh state assembly. UPRTOU BA Admission 2026

The University offers BA programs in various disciplines such as Hindi, English, History, Economics, etc for the 2026-27 academic session. The applicants need to apply online by creating the ABC ID and DEB Unique ID. The application form fee is INR 500. The applicants who passed 10+2 from any recognized board can apply for UPRTOU Admission to the BA program from the official website.

UPRTOU PG Admission 2026-27

Admission process for the UPRTOU PG courses is going to open soon for the January 2026 session, and the applicants need to submit the application form before the deadline from the official website. Uttar Pradesh Rajarsi Open University offers multiple postgraduate programs in disciplines like MA, MCom, MSc, MBA, MLIS, MAJMC, etc. 

Admission to PG courses is done based on the previous qualifying examination marks (merit-based). Applicants with UG degrees in relevant fields can apply for admission. The average fee structure for MA and MCom programs ranges between INR to INR 8000 per year, for the MSc program is INR 10,000 to INR 12,000, and for the MBA and MCA programs is INR 15,000 to INR 20,000 annually.

UPRTOU offers a 2-year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) program for the 2026-27 academic cycle. The admission process for the BEd program is ongoing at https://www.uprtouentrance.co.in/. UPRTOU BEd course applicants will be selected based on entrance exam scores conducted by the University. The applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks and 2 years of teaching experience for in-service teachers. The average fee for the BEd program at UPRTOU is INR 35,000 per year.

UPRTOU Ph.D. Admission 2026-27

Uttar Pradesh Rajarshi Tandon Open University also offers a PhD program in multiple disciplines under regular mode for the 2026-27 academic session. The University will open admission in departments like Computer Science, Commerce, Business Administration, Journalism & Mass Communication, Education, Mathematics, Statistics, Geography, Zoology, History, etc.

The applicant’s desire to pursue a PhD program at UPRTOU requires clearing an entrance test conducted by the University itself, and the UGC NET/JRF-qualified candidates can be exempted from the entrance exam, but they need to appear in the entrance exam. Applicants who have completed a 2-year master’s degree and a 4-year bachelor’s degree with 55% marks (5% relaxation for SC/ST.OBC). The average fee structure for the PhD program is INR 20,000 per year.

UPRTOU PhD Admission Eligibility Criteria

Undergraduate Courses:

• The applicants must pass 10+2 from a recognized board with relevant subjects to become eligible.
• Applicants who are applying for the BLIS program require a UG degree.

Postgraduate Courses:

• The aspirants need to complete a Bachelor’s degree in the relevant discipline from a recognized university.
• A BLIS degree is required for the MLIS program.
• At least 50% marks required in a UG degree for the MBA program (5% relaxation for reserved categories)

B.Ed Program:

• The applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree with 50% marks 
• The applicants also need to have 2 years of teaching experience.

Ph.D Program:

• Applicants must 2 Master’s degrees anda  4-year bachelor’s degree from any recognized University.
• A minimum of 55% marks are required (50% for SC/ST/OBC/EWS) or an MPhil degree.

UPRTOU Entrance Exam 2026

• UPRTOU B.Ed. Entrance Exam: The University conducts the BEd entrance test for admission to this course.
• Ph.D. Entrance Exam: The UPRTOU Ph.D entrance exam is conducted for admission, and also accepts UGC-NET/JRF qualifications. Registration for the entrance exam is likely to open in early August 2026.
