The eligibility criteria for these courses require a 10+2 education from a recognized board with a minimum marks from 50%-60% marks. KUK PG Admission 2026
PG Admission at Kurukshetra University will available soon in a variety of streams like Engineering, Commerce, and Education, such as MA, MSc, MCom, MBA, MTech, etc. These courses have a duration of 2 years (1 year for 4-year NEP graduates) and have an average fee range of Rs 12,300 to 270000 annually. KUK PG Private and regular admission forms are open for the current academic session on the official website.
The university will consider students based on applicants’ performance in university and national-level entrance tests. Candidates who passed a UG degree with relevant subjects and a minimum of 50%-60% are eligible for these courses.
KUK PhD Admission 2026
The admission process will start on 14 January 2026 for the PhD program at KUK through the entrance exam. The last date to apply for KUK PhD admission will be 17 February 2026 with a late fee of INR 2000, and the entrance exam will be conducted on 21 February 2026. The entrance exam result will declare on 25 February 2026 by KUK, and the qualified candidates now have to appear in counseling, which will be conducted on 01 March 2026.
Kurukshetra University offers a 3-year duration, full-time and part-time doctor of philosophy (PhD) degree in numerous departments such as education, management, Hindi, and more. The fees for these courses are between Rs 24600 to 90,000 per annum. Students having a master’s of MPhil degree with at least 55% aggregate marks (50% for SC/ST/OBC candidates) are eligible.
Kurukshetra University admission to PhD courses are based on university level entrance tests (students appearing in UGC NET/CSIR NET/GATE is exempted) and personal interviews. The process will start in June 2026 and will continue till August 2026.
Kurukshetra University Admission Eligibility Criteria

- Students must pass their 12th examinations from a recognized board.
- Students must have relevant subjects with min 50-60% in their 12th class.
For KUK PG Courses Admission
- Applicants are required to have a bachelor’s degree such as BA, BCom, BBA or equivalent from a UGC entitled university.
- Applicants must have secured min 50% to 60% marks in this degree with relevant subjects.
For KUK PhD Courses Admission
- Candidates must hold a Master’s or MPhil degree or equivalent from a valid university.
- Candidates must have this degree in the relevant department in which they want to enroll in PhD (like MA in History for PhD in History).
- The min marks must be 55% or above.
Note: Reserved category candidates (SC/ST/OBC) are given relaxations in eligibility criteria as per government norms. Students must prefer the admission prospectus for the exact eligibility.
Kurukshetra University Entrance Exams
The KUK admissions are based on various university-level and national entrance exams for various courses, which are mentioned below:
- B.Tech: Students will need good performance in JEE Mains exams conducted by NTA.
- LLB: Students must have a good score in CLAT exams.
- MBA: Applicants must appear in CAT/CMAT/GMAT exams and additionally, personal interviews is conducted by the university.
- M.Tech: One must take the GATE exam.
- PhD Programs: Students must appear in the PhD entrance test conducted by KUK. However, one who appeared in the national-level research entrance test (UGC NET) is exempted.
