IGNOU Admission 2025-26 January Session: On 12 December, the IGNOU Admission process was started for the January session. Now the admission last date was 31 March 2025. The admission process has started at IGNOU for all UG, PG, Diploma, and Certificate courses in Online and Distance learning mode. The university offers these courses in Management, Arts, Commerce, Computer Applications and many other fields.

About IGNOU University

The university got its name from India’s first female Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi. It was established in 1985 with the AIM to provide equal education to all people. Initially, the university only offered admission to distance courses but in 2019, it started offering Online courses from its Centre for Online Education (COE).

IGNOU is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC), DEB, AICTE and is accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). The university holds 1st position in the NIRF Ranking 2024 in the Open and Distance University Category.

Every year, IGNOU conducts two major admission sessions: the January and July sessions. The January Session is also known as the fall session.

IGNOU Admission 2025-26 January Session

IGNOU Admission 2025-26 January Session was open on 12 December is still, and the applicants can apply from the official website. IGNOU has extended the last date of admission 2025-26 January session by 31 March 2025 for all courses. The registration fee for all IGNOU courses is Rs 300/- non-refundable. Admission is ongoing for various courses at UG, PG, Diploma and Certificate like BA, BCA, MA, CCH, DCA, etc.

Note: It is mandatory for students to create a DEB -ID to get admission at IGNOU. There will be no admission without a DEB ID.

IGNOU UG Admission 2025-26 January Session

31 March 2025 was the last date of IGNOU UG Admission 2025-26 January academic session, and the applicants can register by going to the official website @ignou.ac.in. IGNOU offers a variety of undergraduate courses like BA, BCom, BCA, BSc, etc in a wide variety of disciplines like arts, commerce, science, social sciences, and management. The common requirement for these courses is a 10+2 passed from a recognized board. All UG courses have a common duration of 3 years, except BLIS.

IGNOU BA Admission 2025 January Session

Indira Gandhi National Open University admission process for the BA program has started now, and the last date to apply was 31 March 2025. The People University (IGNOU) offers BA program admission in various disciplines such as Hindi, History, English, Economics, etc, for the January academic session. IGNOU MBA Admission 2025 January Session

MBA Admission is ongoing for the 2025-26 January academic session at IGNOU, and the last date to submit the application form was 31 March 2025. The applicants can apply online through the official admission portal-ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in. The MBA admission is given based on merit score at IGNOU for the January session. Applicants who have completed a bachelor’s degree are eligible to pursue an MBA program at People University (IGNOU). The application form fee is INR 300.

IGNOU Diploma Admission 2025 January Session

Admission to the diploma courses of IGNOU are available at 10+2, graduate and postgraduate levels. These courses have a duration of 6 months to 2 years in a variety of disciplines like computer application, Home Science, IT. etc.

  • PG Diploma Courses: A graduate degree in relevant stream if needed.
  • Certificate Course­s: Most certificates of IGNOU require 10th grade or equivale­nt.
  • BEd Course­: A bachelor’s degree­ plus two years teaching expe­rience or an education diploma is re­quired with 2 years of experience. The university also conducts an entrance test.
  • PhD Course: A rele­vant master’s degree­ with at least 55% marks and an entrance te­st is needed.
