NEHU Admission 2026-27: North-Eastern Hill University will start the admission counselling process for the academic year 2026-27. The university will soon be inviting eligible students for CUET and non-CUET programs. The University offers various programs at UG, PG, and Doctoral levels, such as MSc Biotechnology, BA LLB, BTech, BA BEd, BSc BEd, MA English, PhD, etc. The last date for NEHU Admission 2026-27 will be 30 June 2026.

NEHU Admissions 2026-27

NEHU Admissions for the academic session 2026-27 will start on 01 May 2026 for various UG, PG, and PhD courses. The University is inviting students for various CUET and non-CUET-based courses in different fields such as Humanities, Sciences, Technology, Law, Management, and integrated. The last date for NEHU Admissions 2026-27 will be 30 June 2026 for the eligible candidates. The admission form fee for general category students is INR 500 and INR 250 for SC/ST students.

Admissions are based on entrance exams, including CUET UG for UG programs, CUET PG for PG programs, and university-level entrance exams for PhD programs. Also, for BTech admissions, the University accepts MAT, JEE, NATA, GATE-B, CAT, and NCET scores.

NEHU offers multiple undergraduate programs such as Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Technology, Bachelor of Architecture, B.A. LL.B. (Honours)for the 2026-27 academic cycle. NEHU Admissions to UG courses are based on the CUET UG 2026 scores. The UG admission will commence soon by inviting the application form at the official website.

Applicants with 10+2 certification with 45% to 55% marks can apply for UG courses admission at NEHU. The average UG course fees range from INR 20,000 to INR 60,000 per year, and specialized courses like B.Tech. or B.Arch. Higher fees. 

NEHU PG Admissions 2026

NEHU offers PG Admission in various disciplines such as Master of Arts, Master of Science, Master of Technology, Master of Computer Applications, Master of Business Administration, Master of Law, etc, for the 2026-27 academic session. NEHU Admission to PG courses is done based on CUET PG 2026 scores, followed by counseling sessions where applicable.

To be eligible for admission, applicants must have completed a UG degree with at least 50% marks from a recognized University. Postgraduate course fees at NEHU typically range between INR 25,000 and INR 1,00,000 per year, depending on the stream and program.

NEHU PhD Admissions 2026-27

NEHU PhD is offered in departments like Life Sciences, Humanities, Social Sciences, Technology Management, Food Technology, etc, for the 2026-27 academic session. The applicants who have applied for PhD Admission to the Departments of Philosophy are required to appear in the entrance test. Candidates seeking PhD admission must clear the university-level entrance examination and may also need to attend interviews conducted by respective departments.

A minimum of 55% marks (50% for reserved categories) in a master’s degree or equivalent qualification is mandatory for admission. The average PhD program fees include a tuition fee of INR 36,000 per year and additional research supervision fees. 

NEHU Admission Eligibility Criteria 2026

Admission to various programs at NEHU depends on fulfilling the prescribed eligibility criteria:

• Undergraduate Programs: Candidates must have completed their 10+2 education with relevant subjects. The minimum percentage mark requirements vary depending on the course, with reserved categories receiving a relaxation of 5%.
• Postgraduate Programs: The applicants who have completed a bachelor’s degree from a recognized University in the relevant field with at least 50%-55% marks.
• PhD Programs: The aspirants who acquire a master’s degree with a minimum of 55% (50% for SC/ST/OBC) are eligible to apply for admission.

NEHU Entrance Exam 2026

Admissions to NEHU’s programs are determined through specific entrance tests, such as CUET UG, mandatory for undergraduate admissions, CUET PG required for postgraduate programs, and the NEHU PhD entrance exam conducted by the university for doctoral-level admissions.
