TNAU Admission 2026-27: Admission process for the 2026-27 academic session at Tamil Nadu Agricultural University will soon open for all UG, PG, and Doctoral programs. The University offers 28 UG and 33 PG courses, including BSc, BTech, MSc, MTech, MBA, and PhD. The application form for TNAU admission will be invited online on the official website @tnau.ac.in with the application deadline of 26 June 2026. 

The application form fee is INR 200 (non-refundable). TNAU Admission is decided based on the entrance exams like ICAR AIEEA UG, TNAU PG Entrance Exam, TNAU PhD Entrance Exam, and ICAR AICE-JRF/SRF. The basic eligibility criteria for UG and PG courses admission are a 10+2 and UG degree in a relevant field with 45% to 55% marks from a recognized institution.

TNAU UG Admission 2026

TNAU offers undergraduate programs admission for the 2026-27 academic session, and the application form will be online on the official website. It is expected that the TNAU UG admission 2026 will start on 01 May 2026 and will close by 26 June 2026. Admission to UG courses is done through merit score followed by counseling. 

TNAU offers UG courses in disciplines like agriculture, horticulture, forestry, sericulture, food, nutrition, dietetics, agricultural engineering, food technology, and biotechnology. To become eligible for UG courses applicants must have passed 10+2 grade with 55% marks (reserved categories 45%) from the recognized board. The average fee for the TNAU UG course ranges between INR 40,000 and INR 60,000 per year.

TNAU PG Admission 2026-27

Tamil Nadu Agricultural University offers PG programs such as MSc, MBA, and MTech across 34 disciplines for the 2026-27 academic session. TNAU PG Admission 2026 is going to open on 01 May 2026, and the deadline to apply will be 26 June 2026. TNAU Admission is conducted through an entrance exam followed by an interview, also the University accepts GAT-B scores for MSc (Ag.) in Molecular Biology & Biotechnology. The applicants must apply online by going to the official website (www.tnau.ac.in) before the last date.

TNAU offers PG courses in various specializations such as Agronomy, Genetics and Plant Breeding, Soil Science, Fruit Science, Vegetable Science, Floriculture, Farm Machinery, Soil and Water Conservation, Food Processing, Agri-Business Management, etc. The applicants are required to complete a UG degree with 55% marks (45% reserved candidates) from a recognized University for TNAU Admission. The PG courses are offered with an average fee range of INR 50,000 to INR 80,000 (per year).

TNAU PhD Admission 2026-27

TNAU offers PhD programs in 28 disciplines such as agriculture, horticulture, agricultural engineering, forestry, etc for the 2026-27 academic cycle. TNAU PhD Admission 2026 will commence from 20 July 2026, and the applicants need to apply online by visiting the official website of the University. The deadline to apply for TNAU admission to PhD program will be 18 August 2026. 

Tamil Nadu Agricultural University offers admission to PhD program based on an entrance exam and an interview. The University also accepts ICAR AICE-JRF/SRF-qualified candidates. TNAU offers PhD admission in departments like Agricultural Economics, Agronomy, Soil Science, Plant Pathology, Agricultural Engineering, etc. The applicants must have a master’s degree in a relevant field with 45% to 55% marks from a recognized University to become eligible for PhD admission at TNAU. PhD program is offered with an average fee ranging between INR 60,000 to INR 1,00,000 per year at TNAU.

TNAU Admission Eligibility Criteria

Undergraduate Programs:

  • The applicants need to complete 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics (PCBM) from a recognized board to become eligible for admission.
  • The applicants need to score at least 55% marks and 45% marks belonging to SC/ST categories.

Postgraduate Programs:

  • The applicants must have completed a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from an ICAR-recognized university.
  • The candidates must have scored a minimum of 6.60/10.00 OGPA (SC/ST 6.50/10.00).

PhD Programs:

  • Applicants with master’s degrees in a relevant discipline from ICAR-recognized universities can apply for PhD programs.
  • The applicants need to secure a minimum of 7.00 OGPA out of 10.00 (SC/ST 6.50/10.00)

TNAU Entrance Exam 2026

Tamil Nadu Agricultural University conducts entrance exams for PG and PhD program admission for the 2026-27 academic session. Further details about the entrance exam are mentioned below:

  • TNAU PG Entrance Exam: The entrance exam is conducted for M.Sc, M.Tech, and MBA admissions. The registration process for the PG entrance exam will start on 1sy May 2026, and the deadline to register will be 26 June 2026. The TNAU PG entrance exam 2026 will be conducted on 15 July 2026.
  • TNAU PhD Entrance Exam: It is conducted by the TNAU for admission to PhD programs for the 2026-27 academic session. The registration process is likely to begin on 20 July 2026, and the exam will be conducted on 30 August 2026.
