YCMOU Admission 2025-26

The admission of YCMOU will begin from the last week of May 2025 for the academic session 2025-26. The university offers many ODL and full-time programs across streams like Arts, Commerce, Science, Education, Agriculture, and Management. YCMOU BA Admission 2025

Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University will start the BA admission process on 27 May 2025 for the July 2025-26 academic session. The applicants can apply online by visiting the official website before the YCMOU BA Admission last date of 15 June 2025. The basic eligibility criteria for BA Admission is that applicants need to pass 10+2 from any recognized board. Admission to all BA-offered courses is done based on merit score.

YCMOU PG Admissions 2025-26

Postgraduate admissions at Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University are available across diverse disciplines, such as Arts, Education, Science, and more. YCMOU MBA Admission 2025-26

The Master of Business Admission degree is also available at YCMOU in ODL mode. It is a 2 years postgraduate management degree that requires a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for reserved categories).  The university offers this course under 5 specializations: Marketing, HR, Finance, I, and Agriculture management. All electives have an annual fee of Rs 30000/.

YCMOU MBA admission is based on an online entrance test known as MBA CET. Online registration will soon start for the July 2025 academic session, and the last date to apply will be 15 June 2025. YCMOU BEd Admission 2025-26

YCMOU offers admission to the Bachelor of Education (BEd) courses in multiple subjects, such as Hindi, English, etc. It is a 2 years education degree that a student can pursue after completing graduation in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks. The annual fee for the YCMOU BEd admission is Rs 25000. Candidates must possess teaching experience and need to pass an entrance conducted by the university to gain admission. The university commenced the BEd entrance registration process on 27 May 2025, and the last date to apply will be 15 June 2025.

YCMOU Agriculture Courses Admission 2025-26

Students can also pursue agricultural courses at YCMOU. Students who passed 10+2 in the Science stream are eligible for diploma and UG courses, while Graduation in Agriculture or a related discipline will be required for PG courses. Students will get direct merit-based admission for diploma and UG courses, while MSc requires an entrance exam. The average fee for these courses is between Rs 4200 and Rs 11200.

YCMOU PhD Admission 2025-26

YCMOU offers doctoral-level degree programs across disciplines such as Science and Technology, Agriculture, Management,  Arts, and Humanities. It is a 3-year-long research degree that allows students to do research work in their chosen department. The tuition fee for YCMOU PhD courses is about Rs 23000 – 55000 per year.

Students must hold a master’s degree or MPhil in the relevant discipline. The selection will be based on performance in the YCMOU Research Entrance Test (RET), followed by an interview. One who appeared in the UGC NET/JRF exams will be exempt from the entrance exam.

Generally, the university conducts the doctor of philosophy admission process in the month, and the process is completed by the end. For the year 2025-26, the YCMOU PhD admission process is expected to start on 20 August 2025. The process will continue from registration to the entrance test, personal interview, and selected students list, and the last date of admission will be 20 October 2025.

YCMOU Eligibility Criteria 2025

Students who want admission to any degree at YCMOU are required to meet the eligibility criteria of that particular course mentioned in the prospectus. Those requirements are discussed below:

For UG Courses Admission:

• Students must pass their Senior Secondary (10+2) exams with relevant subjects from a recognized Indian board.
• The min in the 12th class must be around 50% for general students and 45% for reserved category students.

For PG Courses Admission:

• A UG degree with relevant subjects or streams from a reputed university is mandatory.
• One must have secured 40-50% of their bachelor’s degree to be eligible for PG courses.

For PhD Courses Admission:

• Interested applicants must have an MPhil or Master’s degree with a minimum of 55% marks (50% for reserved categories) from a valid university.
• Additionally, candidates must have relevant subjects in PG respective to the department in which they want to pursue their PhD.

YCMOU Entrance Exams 2025

• YCMOU RET (PhD Programs): It is the mandatory entrance test for students who want PhD admission at YCMOU. However, there are exemptions for students who have cleared the national-level research entrance tests.
• MBA CET: YCMOU will conduct the necessary MBA CET entrance test in online mode. The performance of applicants in this test will determine their admission.
• BCA/MCA CET: The university has CET for UG and PG computer application programs in Online mode via MCQ-based questions.
• BEd CET: Students are required to take the mandatory YCMOU BEd entrance exam.
• Agricultural Entrance Test: This test is conducted by the university for admission to the MSc Agriculture course.
• YCMOU UG CET: YCMOU conducts an entrance test for BCA and BSc Data Science programs.
